Don't miss this rare opportunity to spend a weekend with international teacher Dr Massimo Mangialavori. Based in Capri, Dr Mangialavori last presented in the UK in 2005 and we are delighted that he is able to join us to commemorate The Society's 30th anniversary.
Competitively priced at £140, the two-day event will focus on allergies, bringing together a wealth of experience from Dr Mangialavori's 23 years of practice and research.
Join friends and colleagues for a weekend in London and relax with members of the homeopathy community at the complimentary drinks reception on Saturday evening courtesy of Nelsons.
As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, Nelsons have kindly sponsored a free prize draw for a complimentary seminar place including lunch. On booking, your application will automatically be entered into the draw. The draw will take place at the event and the lucky prizewinner will be refunded. Good luck!
Greatly respected for his innovative thinking, Dr Mangialavori, the author of 12 books and a clinical repertory, will present several cases from the gramineae (grasses) family of plant remedies, before discussing his personal approach to treating patients with allergic conditions. With extensive experience of treating patients with allergies, he will look at differential diagnosis between well known remedies, as well as considering the little known and the “forgotten” remedies in our material medica.
Dr Mangialavori, born in Naples in 1958, is well known not only in his home country but throughout the world for his work with materia medica. He has been working with a kingdom approach to remedies and developing themes for certain groups and families. His works include Bitten in the Soul - experiences with spider remedies in homeopathic medicine published in 2004 and Solanaceae - a nightmare between light and dark, published last year.
In an interview published in the Homeopath in 2001, he said: “Often it seems that I pull the remedy out of a top hat like a rabbit. It's not like that at all. What I do is to gather together all the possible information…you have a hypothesis… we have a list of symptoms in our materia medica and in our repertories…I investigate in the botanical field, in the pharmacological field, in toxicology. And often you find this connection… Often it happens that I make a mistake. Often it happens that I make a good prescription. So I put together all the cases where I made a good prescription and I find out what's in common. I always ask the patient what is happening…the patients tell you what the remedy is. The best picture of the remedy is the patient, it's not the materia medica.”
Easy payment scheme available to help spread the cost. Pay £70 on booking and the balance by 10th November. Further details can be found on the booking form which will be available shortly.
